Coach Pullen There is much to be said about the Shawnee wres- tling team. Aside from the fact that the team was hard- working and determined to do it's very best, which they did. ln the Edgewood tournament, Jim Moody, and Mark Scafidi, the team captains, placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. During the course ofthe season there were some close matches, a few were one and a few were lost. In the districts, they placed 2nd behind Lenape who was 2nd in South Jersey at the time. Mike Wetterau placed tstg Jim Moody, Mark Scafidi, Brian Miller and Lloyd Henry placed secondg and Jeff Klein placed 3rd. Five Shawnee wrestlers were in the regions. Jim Moody took 2nd place and Mark Scafidi took 4th. Jim Moody is the only team member eligible to compete in the state tournament. ln high school it is not whether you win or lose it is how you play the game. In a match or in practice all the team members gave it their total effort, which gave them a total performance that made them champions. Only in professional sports does it matter whether you win or lose. The members are there to learn, to have fun, and to make friends. Thank you Mr. Pullen, Mr. Panarella, and Mr. Burtis. Without you we wouldn't have been able to do our best.
