' F ioL W m Scholarship Leadership Character Service A busy year for the National Honor Society began with preparations for the spring student exchange tour to Bergenfield, New Jersey. During December, a lovely teacher ' s breakfast was sponsored in the library, and manv teachers were quoted as saying, It was the best ever! Induction week climaxed with the formal ceremony and swearing in of the thirty-one new members. The evening was also highlighted by a choir octet and an inspiring speech by former National Honor Society leader and Shawnee teacher, Mrs. Kathryn Hickes. The ear was truly one of change and excitement for our Shawnee chapter. 127
