VJ. v. V and Varsity S The Girls ' Athletic Association this year sponsored five interscholastic sports plus a co-ed bowling league at Victory Lanes. As fund raising projects the club members cleaned the gym after home basketball games, worked a coat check, and held a Beautiful Legs Contest. New members were inducted in a spring ceremony at Cliff Park. This year ' s Varsity S held several activities and money making projects. The club held its annual break- fast at Perkin ' s and in May attended a Reds ' baseball game. As fund raising projects, the club held a free throw contest and ran a refreshment stand at home basketball games. Dramatics Club and International Thespian Society The International Thespian Society presented ' The Diary of Anne Franke ' as their winter production and George Washington Slept Here ' as their spring production. Sixteen members of the Dramatics Club were initi- ated into the International Thespian Society in May. The freshman award went to Larry Southward, the sopho- more award to Ralph Ewing and the junior award to K im Burns. Three seniors, Naomi Reed, Greg Clements, and Jim Neer, each received honor bars, the highest award for participation in dramatics.
