Industrial Arts Club and Science Club This year ' s Industrial Arts Club, headed by President Rick Shay, attended the Ohio Industrial Arts Convention in Cleveland on March 11-13, where they won 43 blue ribbons for outstanding craftsmanship. The Science Club has kept busy with such projects as the Nature Lab, a field trip to Wright Patterson Air Force Museum, and scientific demonstrations during the club meetings. Individual members of the club panic- ipated in a science fair where the school tied for first place in total amount of points. Math Club and J.C.O.W.A. Junior Council on World Affairs collected money for UNICEF and attended the High School Institute at the University of Dayton for the study of different countries. The club conducted a United Nations Day with food, costumes and music from other countries. As a conclusion to their year ' s activities, the club held a picnic in May. The Math Club had a featured speaker, Mr. Eben, lectme on the principles of flight and then followed up their studies with a field trip to the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio. As a club they learned arithmetricks (math games) and lessons on the slide rule . A Bicentennial showcase with maps and biog- raphies on George Rogers Clark and Simon Kenton was presented by the club .
