Industrial A rts Club and Science Seminar This year ' s Industrial Arts Club won second place in the Ohio Outstanding Club contest when several members won awards at the Ohio Student Industrial Arts Club Convention at Newark . Shawnee students won over $500 in prize money for exhibits at the Ohio State Fair . Steve Houston , President of the Ohio Student Industrial Arts Club as well as the Shawnee Club, attended the American Student Industrial Arts Club Conference with three other officers . The Science Seminar consists of those students who are strongly interested in science. Meetings were held every other Wednesday after school. Mr. Brookover, who represented the disuict conservation office , spoke to the members and gave a slide presentation about forming a land laboratory .
