Future Teachers of America and Audio-Visual Club The Future Teachers of America, an organization formed for those students interested in entering the field of education, decorated the lobby and cafeteria for the Christmas season . The club participated in National Education Week and heard several speakers at their club meetings. A committee was formed to select books which the club then purchased for local nursery schools . During the spring the F . T . A . held its annual banquet and the Sadie Hawkins dance. The Audio-Visual Club is responsible for delivering audio-visual equipment to teachers when the equip- ment is needed. Club members learned how to operate the different pieces of audio-visual equipment during the club meetings . This was probably the last year for the Audio- Visual Club at Shawnee. UPPER LEFT: F.T.A. Fellowship of Christian A thletes and Debate Club F.C.A. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes raised money this year by co-sponsoring a paper drive and the Rockaihon with the Publications Department. The money will be used to send interested members to an F.C.A. summer conference . DEBATE CLUB This year ' s Debate Club attended several tourna- ments including the Ohio State University Debate Tournament and the Centerville Debate Tourna- ment, where it tied for second place.
