School Board SEATED: Carl Settlemire, president. STANDING: Fred Bunke, Horace Shock, Paul Lytle, clerk, Lyle Lee. Through hard work and good iudgment, these men shape the destiny of Shawnee high school. Superintendent C. G. LAPPIN Oberlin College-B,A. Ohio State University-M.A. Shawna-e has always been recognized as a school pro- moting perpetual progress. Largely responsible for this fine reputation is Mr. C. G. Lappin, whose foresight and executive abilities have been proven in the development of superior educational facilities accompanying the growth of the community. Upon completion of the new high school, one more step in the dream of twenty-eight years of leadership will be realized. Mr. lappin is a keen judge of people, and his likable personality and quick sense of humor odd to the knack of presenting the Shawnee educational program to the citizens of the community. Principal O. C. KNECHT Bowling Green State University-B.S. Indiana University-M.S. United States Government That olcl ioke, lt wasn't the school, it was the 'prin- cipal' of the thing, is definitely disputed in the person of Shawnee Principal O. C. Knecht. Good-natured ability, true willingness to help, and an ever-ready wit seem always to combine in satisfactorily solving the many problems brought to him. His capability, fairness, and sincerity, shown in the capacities served as principal and coordinator of high school activities, teacher of United States government, and director of athletics are admired by students and faculty alike. Through these means he manages to keep in close contact with all phases of school life.
