Ohio State University - MA. you gm fha, gpm The Good Ship Shawnee, launched on her twenty-fourth annual voyage, is about to put into port once more. She has had a fine voyage this twenty-fourth trip. True, she has been somewhat overladen the past several voyages, but plans are afoot to put her into dry dock for some minor repairs, and extension of room in her hold, The officers have guarded her carefully - the crew have attended faithfully to their various tasks. The wind has been favorable, in the main, varied occasionally by a sudden gust of too much hot air. Upon examination, however, the officers have ascertained that these drafts have developed on the ship itself and soon have disappeared without appreciable damage to the navigation of the craft. We are glad to report that the vast majority are better sailors than when the voyage began last September. Fifty-eight senior members of the crew will go ashore for the last time this trip. The remaining members will furnish experienced aid to go along with the fifty-nine recruits from the sixth grade for the twenty-fifth cruise. Let us check the Ship carefully, study the Course for needed recharting and be ready to lift anchor for another profitable cruise next September. WVell done, mates. C. G. Chapter this year was one meeting each month, each one planned around a purpose of the F. H. A., and a few special activities. They started their journey with a formal candlelight initiation service. During one of their meetings they held a mother-daughter discussion. One of their most enjoyable activities was an old fashioned box-social and square dance. During the P. T. A. meetings the F. H. A. girls held a nursery school for pre- school age children. The greatest contribution to this year's voyage was the dona- tion of money for the complete redecoration of the former dining room of the home economics department. It is now a very pleasant living room. This page sponsored by Shawnee Grange 42 .4-xl, 3.3.0 l'IC'l'URl2 I - Bowslier, Sbope, Mr. Starling. Ciopus. v. pres.: Hanes, pres.: Stoner.
