She was such a nice girl, too-so quiet and retiring. Next! Billy Vincent. Billy Vincent, Methodist missionary to the Green Skirt Islands, sacrificed his life rather than succumb to the fatal charms of the heathen, cannibal queen, Dorothy Mae Bennett. Dorothy Mae reports that he made very poor noodles. Next! Idabell Hendon. Oh, yes. Founder of the Fresh Air Colony! She and her followers, Dell Browning, Helen and Reba Marshall, Neata Fox, Bill Johnson, and Helen Gaither were the first to institute this mode of living in Alaska. Poor Idabell caught poison ivy and scratched herself to death. Next! Rosemary Baer. Rosemary Baer, owner of Baer's Boarding House for the baske-tball boys of Shawnee Hgh School was doing quite well until Lefty Benton, Junior, mistook the baby grand piano for a basketball and the chandelier for the basket. With the same cusftomers she later ran Baer's Bat House for Batty Basketball Boys. Next! Jack Phillip Wa.ldrop. The garbage collector and dog catcher of Shawnee since 1937. I remember now, he bought out the business of Seven-thirty , nag, wagon, and all. Nexit! Bessie Mae Knapp. Oh! Here is a clipping cut from my home town paper. It reads, Bessie Mae Knapp and Ray- mond Stephens, those brilliant stars of screen and opera, lefit yesterday on their honeymoon. It will include Asher, McLoud, Stroud, Tecumseh, and Chisholm. They will be at home after Juvember, the thirty-fourth, in their house-boat on the Canadian River. Next! Casey Jones. Casey Jones and Arnold Allemand went crazy trying to teach Latin and etiquette to the chil- dren of Ma'y Alice George and John Quincy Adams. Next! Truman Troop. Truman Troop, New York fire-chief, gave his life to save the Weathers sisters who burned down the Metropolitan Opera House with their hot blues singing. Next! - Ancel Owens. He committed suicide when Jack Thompson, chief inspecltor for the Matrimonial Bureau in Washington sent him that dizzy blond. Maxine Parsons. The question was who would drive who crazy first. Looks like Maxine won. Next! I Mary Agnes Dunaway. Ma.ry Agnes Dunaway. Occupation - air slewardess on the India Clipper piloted by Dick Peters. It seem., Dick lost all control of the plane when it went into a tailspin and split its sides laugh- ing over one of Dunk's juicy jokes. Among those passengers figuring in the tragedy was William Nosey Hixson, who was returning from New York after giving Walter Winchell a few pointers on the art of inquiring into other peoples affairs. Also on the ill-fated liner was that robust athletic character, Minnie Ann Frankel, who had just won the Olympic championship for the women's highest pole vaulter. Accompanying her was Mr. Kenneth Silly Henson who served Minnie as business manager as well as a sort of pin cushion for her many medals. Next! Paul Goforth. I was afraid of this. Lois. his red-headed wife, found a blond hair on his coat and made things so hot for him that he olfered his body to that renowned scientist Adaline Gilluly, who in the name of science froze him in a block of ice to cool off. Unfortunately, Professor Gilluly's as- sistant, Henfry Alexander Jones, turned the wrong lever on his new invention, the Frosty-Freeze, and Paul will never have to worry again. Next' Charles Liddell! How did he get here anyhow? Oh, he just blew and blew and blew his way in, And with this truthful bit of witticism, the mist slowly gathers to obscure from view further hap- penings of this eventful day as .the sentence is about to be passed on each and every member of the class of 1936 of Shawnee High School. In behalf of those dear, departed souls we shed a few tears of raindrops and only hope and pray for mercy. E

Mickey goes to 1 school every day. We'll award her a front seat because of her unfailing efforts as the president of the national W. C. T. U. Next! Oscar Clarence Brown, otherwise known as Buddy. Wonder why He got mixed up with Martha Jaque Rishei, that platinum blond chorus girl, and her hus- he is here so soon? band, that dynamic personality, Wilbur Wallace, walked in on them. So Buddy came here. He was a martyr to a lost cause. Next! Blair Eugene Holland. Oh. Stinky! What's he doing here? On the day before yesterday the president of the Pan Pandlers Union, Anna Sue Thomas, -bummed twenty-tive cents fone-fourth dollarl from him and patting him on the back said, You'll get your reward in heaven. So here he is. Well, put him with the rest of the suckers. Next! Verdra Ward, Edith Rose, and Dorothea Eubanks. Oh, yes. They were involved in that riot at Margaret Hutchins' Hut, notorious night club in Gay Paree, when Bettie De Money and Terry O Brien, the famous dancing team, exhibited their new routine to Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5. The girls attempted to participate. Next! Virginia King. I see her entrance was caused by an explosion. She was lihting something from a cradle. Oh, was it her baby? No: Her husband. Next! Wade Gray. h Jack Roberts' one-cow dairy wagon was demolished by Wade Gray when he ran into it on the 52nd anniversary of his '30 model Chevy. Next! Margaret Jeanne Gaskill. She was caught by the watchman, Harold McDivitt, while robbing graves. She was working on the theory that second-hand business is better -than none. Next! R. L. Bailey. The new school building which was financed by Robervt Critz and designed by Robert Brown, his inspiration being furnished by La Treve Hole who has broken all records in ticket selling to the dances, was raided only the other night by Howard Crisp, chief of police, because the pool hall and saloon were kept open after 2:00 P. M. Next! Lucille Capp and Virgil Bradbury. They won the loving cup for the best ballroom dancing at the senior prom in '36. Next! Kenneth Barnes. He was the first president of the United States to be elected on the Socialistic ticket. It was during his term that the brilliant and glamorous senator from Oklahoma, Mildred Bullock, in- troduced the bill for the 55,000,000 home for crippled mosquitoes. Next! Kathrine Gray Beale.
