The title of Homecoming King means reigning over the Homecoming festivities. This is a responsibility that is understood. My personal responsibilities include helping to promote school spirit and pride. The public’s eye will constantly be on me, therefore I must have and show a positive attitude toward my school and others. Since the responsibilities of Homecoming King are not written laws, they are really what you make them.

OUR QUEEN My responsibilities as homecoming queen are to be congenial, have a positive attitude towards school and to maintain good grades. When I ran for homecoming queen my main interest was not to Ms. Annita Oliver, win but to participate in an activity that I could enjoy and really step out of the crowd and be noticed as an individual. I realize my responsibilities include not only what I did on Oct. 26, 1979, but also Below right: Selma Gamble, Principal, presents the 1979-80 Homecoming Queen. what I do throughout this 79-80 school year.
