Since coming to Shats in 1915, he has giyen friendly advice to students concerning their high school courses and their futures. whether they involve jobs or colleges. He sends transcripts of high school vsork to colleges and makes arrangements for the students to meet representatives from the various colleges. Mr. Hunter is the last authority on graduation credits and his duties also include conducting tests, such as the Ohio State Scholarship Test. His responsibility for the student does not terminate with graduation. as he is also frequently called upon to giye information and make recommenda- tions for jobs. ln addition to these and numerous other duties, this busy man has recently added that of co-sponsor of the College Club to his list. He has done much toward putting this club on its feet during its first full year. COMMERCIAL DIfPAR'I'MIZN'I' Nr. Nunn. NIV. I.uL11x, XII 1. , Xu. , mmf, M.. H.I11....L.. This group meets as a class seventh period daily under the direction of Miss Lois Dean and does anything from scrubbing floors to building sets. Some of the duties of this group are operating lights, painting and putting up scenery, and taking care of stage props. The girls in the class have charge of the costumes, upholstering furniture, hling and typing scripts, art work, and hunting for hard-to-find props. This years stage manager was Art Parker, who has been on the stage crew for three years. Elver Stone has also completed his third year with the group. All Shaw boys, except the varsity and the junior varsity athletes, are eligible to play. After winning eight straight games, Barney Millers 12B team lost their last regular game, forcing them to have a playoff for the champion- ship. When the championship game was over, the Millers had won by the score of 55-15. The boys on the team were: Barney Miller, captaing Barney Apthorp, Warren Fresenko, Bob Gibson, jack Leuschel, and Wally Lojewski. The high point man in the league was Walt Lojewski, who scored 151 points in ten games. Roger Schmidt was second with 101 points for the season. Page 84 K 5 .SIPQREL 19 .
