Boots and Saddle URING his wanderings through the girls' gym, Sheldon suddenly thought of the Riding Club. Upon inquiring about the officers, he discovered that there was no president this year. A new system has been worked out whereby one officer is elected as head of the club to act as the representative to A. C. The new head is Carol Geitz. Sheldon soon discovered Carol, who told him of their many excursions to the Shaker Riding Academy. She also told him of the many times their rides were cancelled on account of rain--anly to find them more eager on the next Friday afternoon. Twice weekly the gym rang with high-pitched shouts as team matched skill with team. Girl vied with glirl for the honor of being in the Yale- Harvard. Finally the field was narrowed down, and a picked crew was chosen for the engagement. After straining for the championship, Harvard was vic- toriou lYale lost nobly in the close race? in two out of three games. Acting wisely, thinking quickly, being alert, playing well, and playing in all games of her team but one - that is the description of any Yale- Harvard girl. Spectators expected a fine game with such fine teams, and they were not disappointed. sixteen
