Star Student And Stal' fl-ff .Qf w-if QW. Teacher A STAR represents the STAR STUDENT TEACHER ACHIEVEMENT RECOGNITION AWARD sponsored by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. The qualifications for star student are, the student must be in the top 1070 scholastically of the senior class, in a fully accredited school, score at least 425 on the verbal portion and 465 on the math portion of the Scholastic Achievement Test. Once the student has received the award hefshe then chooses a teacher that helshe feels has contributed most to their academic achievement. This year Student is rgan Duncan and the Star Teacher is Michael Regnier. 3 . v front Donna Wade, Terrie Woomer, Terri Cagle, Jennifer James, Liga Eldridge Eddie Gunderson, Steve Lemmons, Scott Kimpsey, Brad Hall, Captain John Nellums, Mike Rodgers, and Roger Williams Head to Head is a local academic bowl game sponsored by WTVM and McDonalds. Over thirty surrounding high H e schools participated. The members of the Shaw Team were selected by their standardized test scores. The top juniors and seniors were then given a test that H e consisted of current events, United States History, and Math.
