With an impressive display of true Raider Spirit our athletes have prov- en themselves to be superb in all areas. Well-known and recog- nized by all, we could pick them out of a crowd of happy Raider faces. It's the competitiveness that makes a Shaw athlete want to become the best and to try their hardest to succeed in everything. The thrill of victory and agony of defeat is an essential in forming a true athlete. The time and effort spent on practicing should truly be reward- ed. Long afternoon practices and weekly games 6 meets, a Shaw athlete has to be dedicated. The dedication of the coaches is a most important factor. As is their willingness to teach and guide our athletic teams. Using their spare time to improve on the skills of our young athletes, the coaches deserve a sincere thank you.

One of the most impor- tant areas of school life is the participation of stu- dents in school clubs. Bene- ficial to us all, they help us to grow and expand our knowledge. Being active in school clubs helps us to help ourselves. We become our leadership abilities, and also having fun. In joining clubs, we make new friends and see some old ones while experienc- ing new activities.
