K A fitting Word that could be used to describe the under- classmen might be determined, for they certainly are. Striving to do their best, they work very hard to reach their goal: to be- being an underclassmen. With- out it, getting through the first years of high school would be much harder. Everyone should have as much determination as they. come successful seniors. Being uncertain of the future seems to make them work harder, and use all of the resources Within their grasp to become more cer- tain. Whatever the situation, they are determined to over- come it or to improve it. Deter- mination is an important part of The Freshmen must exper- ience the first year of high school. The Sophomores play on junior varsity teams while the Juniors prepare for term pa- pers and fund raisers for prom. Each class has its own respon- sibilities to contribute to Shaw. M - 'Cs A ' . Our ever-important seniors. The unequaled and most special students of all. Becoming more and more certain of themselves with each new day, yet still un- sure of what the future holds, they are radiant and full of life. To be a senior is to be proud. Proud of having come so far. Proud of being successful. Proud to be a graduating Raid- er. We should support them and congratulate them. We should show them that we are as proud of them as they are of them- selves and each other. Although at times the seniors may seem aloof or withdrawn, they are truly warm and friend- ly. There are no other words that can describe them, other than the ones already used. They are important, unequaled, warm, and most of all, proud.
