The Distributive Education Class, which is better known as D.E., consists of 50 students. D.E. helps the students become more aware of the job market. They learn to fill out a job application, they learn more about the free enter- prise system and fundamentals of marketing, along with advertising, sales promotions, selling, income tax and they also learn how to operate a store. F.B.L.A. The Future Business Leaders of America, shortened F.B.L.A., is a national organization for high school students, participating in busi- ness and office programs. The main objective of F.B.L.A. is to provide additional opportuni- ties for secondary students in business and office education, to develop vocational and career supportive competencies. The F.B.L.A. at Shaw consists of over 108 students, that seek to establish occupational goals.
