FOREWO RD To the students, Shattuck is a routine - dull, methodical, and never- ending. Yet the brighter moments do occur, the friendships develop, the bull sessions run into the night, the knowledge is gained. Though dull at the moment, Shattuck years will become alive in the future, and will be recalled with nostalgia and pleasure. To bring all these little incidents to mind is the purpose of a yearbook, and in this goal we the 1961 SHAD Committee hope this has been accomplished. Publishing a yearbook is a tough iob, and demands constant eFfort from the entire staff. The Deadlines must be met, the write-ups must be on time, and the pictures must be taken and taken well, or the effort of a good yearbook is lost. From the minor details and little decisions to the layouts and assignments, we the editors wish to thank the staff for their conscientious contributions, and at the same time present to the faculty, student body, and alumni this, the 1961 SHAD.
