TRANSPORTATION 170 students have to be transported to and from school each day and the buses kept in good, safe, running, condition. Those responsible are bus drivers, Clifton Hurst, George llerber, Dave Herber, Fermun Shepherd, Robert lfechner, and Aaron Long- hofer. 14 CUSTODIANS Jim Thompson and Glenn Harris daily care and maintain the school building. Mr. Thompson has been employed by the Shattuck School for fifteen years and Mr. Harris four years. LUNCH ROOM The lunch room cooks, Mrs. Ruth Ehrlich, Mrs. Hilda Kolander, and Mrs. Freida Schultz, prepare well-balanced meals for approximately 350 students each day. rex

Va lecffcforian Shirley Lorenz, daughter of Mrs. Bertha Lorenz, re- ceived the highest honors for a senior, that of valedictorian. Shirley had a grade average of 3.93 and participated in many outside activities. She was on the first string basketball team, president of F.H.A., section editor of the annual, state honor society, four years, and was chosen best all around senior girl. Freedom or Servitude, which? was the topic of Shir1ey's valedictory address.
