When the curtain opens, the deceased aunt of Stuart Kingsley has lust left a large sum of money which he is to inherit if he will marry someone other than his present in terest, Audrey Ward. The comedy begins with Stuart seeking an old lady who will marry him and die early so he can inherit the money Gail Emerson disguises herself and marries him for Sl0,000 New development occurrs throughout thisbaffling and clever play. The scene opens in the living room of theStormgay house on Ramshead Rock off the coast of Maine. Hugo Bromley, a young man out of a job, and Jeff Hall, his associate in many not-too-successful ventures, answer an advertisement for a ghost. Forthwith they become acquainted with Ginger and Gale Stormgay, the attractive granddaughters of Granny Kate, owner of the strange old house. The ad was Ginger's idea of curing Granny of her belief in voodooism and ending her companionship with Professor de Vallan and his strange assistant, Madam Zolga. Excitement begins when Gale and Ginger see a ghost and later realizethat it is not the onethey hired to scare Granny Kate. Jeff, who leadstothe eventual solution of the mystery, is the hero. They belong in Class DD, but under the leadership of Kenneth Farrell, they have won in Class C, Class B and Class A competition. They now hold 34 consecutive first place awards and have filled a trophy case during the past three years. The new band building, one ofthe finest any- where, is o real credit to our school. Mrs. Ruth Ehrlich and Mrs. Hilda Kolan- der, the efficient cooks, begin working at eight A.M. to give the students a well balanced meal that is low priced. An average of l50 students eat here every day. About twenty students a day work in the lunchroom. Mrs. Ehrlich and Mrs. Kolander prepare the school lunch.
