K, .y X 1 I J 'Pt and optimistically demanded an education. Of the forty, or forty-five first graders who started here in 1936, only seven - have com- pleted their entire twelve years of educa- tion in the Shattuck High School. The rest of the present Senior Class have joined our ranks either in the grades, or in high school. We started our high school career with an enrollment of fifty eager freshmen brim- ming with that naive self assurance that only freshmen possess We were greatly assisted bv our Sponsor Mr Thain We entered our sophomore year with an enrollment of foity two Our Sponsor this year was Mr Walker Our president was George Killiam We had several parties but we werent extremely active in sports or other ElCt1Xltl9S When we came to school as Juniors with an enrollment of thirty one we met many new faces and missed several old ones Our Junior year was a period of steady activ ity Six of us went out for basketball our play Almost Eighteen and our banquet was conceded by all to haye been xery suc cessful Our Sponsor was Mrs Ranck Our Senior year Sponsored by Mrs Nicholson began with an enrollment of twentv nine Fne senior boys lettered m football To get funds for our annual trip we served at football games and presented the play Lady Spitfire With the help of the Seniors of 48 we bought an electric scoreboard for the gymnasium We greatly emoyed and appreciated the banquet which the J umor Class prepared for us We will always be grateful to our par ents for prov1d1ng us with the opportunity to receive a high school educatlon and to oui teachers for the patience and considera that we have spent with them Our faith 1n our homes and our school is the basis of the confidence w1th which we face the future 2' A '1 f 4 F 2075 r awfjgf lvl? a Elnfm Hx x 'N ! . ir Y. It is a bus any school would be proud to own. It is painted in our school colors of red and white with our school insignia, The Indian Head on each side and a larger one on the rear of the bus. It has a seating capacity of thirty-six, and is equipped with those comfortable American wicker head-rest seats which are covered with genuine leather upholstery.
