CRAIG DeFOREST TYLER SMITH President Presidenf SOPHOMORE FRE SHMAN FALL CLASS OFFICERS SOPHOMORES No longer the youngest class at Shasta, the Soph- omore Class prospered during the Fall Semester. Their president Craig De Forest who, with the help of his assistants, worked hard to start their class project, which is being financed from the proceeds of their magazine sales. This class has much spirit and we are sure they will go far at Shasta. FRESHMEN The newest class at Shasta seems to show much promise. They are now working quite hard on the magazine sales. Ty Smith, president for the tall se- mester, led his class very ably. The Frosh have a new constitution and are plan- ning their class project. We know that with all the capable members ot this fine class they will do well at Shasta. MRS. EVELYN CROUCH MR. CLOYCE AVEY Advisor Advisor 'W

Capfain MR. CHUCK STEVENS Coach FOOTBALL HIGHLIGHTS The undefeated l.V, team of two years ago had finally reached varsity. Although they didn't go undefeated, the team came up with a good 6-3 season with two of the losses being real heartbreakers. With Chico going undefeated, and Reno losing only one, Shasta came in a close third. Leading the Wolves on offense this year was the fabulous junior fullback, Butch Crotto. Also outstanding on offense were Dean Gordon and Mario Serafin, who was shifted from guard to halfback. Leading the big line on offense and defense were Bob lanes, Marshall Brackin, Greg Gifford, and Rodger Clark. The co-captains this year were Rodger Clark and Greg Gifford. There was no out- standing lineman or back. Although twelve lettermen this year are graduating, ten or more junior letter men led by Butch Crotto and Dave Winters will be back next year to add experience to the Wolf Pack of '59.
