vice-principaI's message Each commencement brings feelings of gladness and sadness. I'm glad to join the graduating seniors in their feeling of accomplishment. Now, after four years of study and fun, here is a high school diploma in hand. You Seniors, I would think, will want to be able to as- sure yourselves that y0u've had iust the right mixture of study and fun. Our goal, in which I hope we have suc- seeded, is to provide you, by our mutual efforts. with the adequate tools for successful careers, either in the busi- ness world immediately following graduation, or in fur- ther study and preparation in higher schools of learning. It remains the task of those of us who will be back next year to continue to build and strengthen our class studies, our student government and activities, so that we all will have cause to hold our heads high when we say, Shasta is our school. attendance office The attendance office under the supervision of Mr. Marvin and Mrs. Prince is one of the busiest places in the school. A staff of twenty-six students assist in the never- ending job of keeping track ofthe attendance of I3OO students. Mrs. Grace Warmoth is the school psychom- etrist who gives many intelligence tests to aid teachers, counselors, and parents. boa rd of trustees M The iob of governing our high school district, which has become increasingly difficult with the addition of new schools, is carried out by an elected group of civic and educational leaders of the com- munity who are interested in the welfare of both students and faculty. The mem- bers ofthe board give unselfishly of their time and experience to develop the poli- cies of the district. LEFT TO RIGHT: Mr. D. Saeltizer, Mr. R. Thompson, Mr. Bill McCIung, President, Mrs. Jonathan Tibbitfs, Dr. Eugene Padel. MR. JOHN SPENCER vice-principal MR. DON MARVIN MRS. GRACE WARMO1 attendance officer psychometrist
