SomeTimes This goal is reached, and someTimes iT isn'T. Since The war years, during which our yearbook was reduced drasTically due To The eTTecTs oT war on The home TronT, The ShasTa Daisy has been improved Tremendously each year, unfil now we have, in my opinion, one oT The besT high school yearbooks in norThern CaliTornia. I came To This conclusion when I aTTended The Publica- Tion's Forum aT The annual STudenT Leaders' ConTerence. AT This Torum The yearbook sTaTT and producT oT every maior high school in norThern CaliTornia were represenTed, and if There were any doubT as To The superioriTy oT The I949 ShasTa Daisy over The oTher yearbooks on display, aT leasT iT wasn'T audibly expressed. This is Truly someThing ThaT we, as sTudenTs oT ShasTa I-ligh, can be proud oT. This year The l95O ShasTa Daisy STaTT seT as iTs goal The aim oT mainTaining The TradiTional high qualiTy oT The ShasTa Daisy. This was noT an easy goal Tor lasT year's annual was a superior ediTion in every respecT. We realized This TacT, as we also realized ThaT we would have To operaTe on less money since The eTTecTs oT posTwar depression would be more evidenT. NeverTheless, we were noT discouraged: we were all The more deTermined To reach our goal.
