Class 'Ilbopbecy The Class of 18 Of course you all know of the slnklng of the Callforma ard lt w1l1 no doubt be a great surprlse to you to learn that all these unfortunate vlctlms of the wreck lncludlng myself have arrlved at a beautlful and fantastlc Clty down under the waves where all those who eve drowned IH the sea are gathered But I am pledged not to tell any m-orc for lt lb forbldden that mortals should know all thxs Yet one great secr-et I must reveal to you a secret that IS connected with your destlnles No sooner had we arrlved than an old mlsslon father came to me and lnformed me that because I was a Cahfornlan I was to have the great prlvllege of lookmg once 1nto the future seemg there whatever l deslred He took me through a great marble gateway mto a large cour where the vast stage of 11fe stretched away 1nto the dlstance No sooner had we seated ourselves than a great reglment of soldlers passed before us They were led by a dashlng general on a huge black horse General Frost sald the father as the scene faded away No sooner had one v1s1on faded than another took IIS place I now beheld a woman surgeon dextrously fittmg rabb1t eyes lnto bllnd soldlels When she smlled I recogmzed w1th a start Dorothea Saeltzer Then agaln the scene faded and wlth a small shock at the abrupt change I found myself an interest spectator IH an excltlng case of the Umted States Supreme court The Judge was Max Polse our old school orator At the fathers request we then went up on the stage Instantly we seemed to be surrounded by a great nonsy clty whlch was appa1 ently San Francxsco As I looked at thls father I was greatly surpwsed to see that hls antlque clothlng had glven place to a sult IH the helght of fashlon lt was evldently election day for the nolse was frlghtful and banners floated on every slde Suddenly a glant VOICE boomed forth Wh1Ch drowned out all others and caused several women to famt wlth frlght Vote for Harvey G11 zean for bnlted States Mlnlster to Slberla When the volce ceased l turned to a man near by lnqulrlng the meamng of such a terrlfic HOISG Oh he rephed that IS one of Harold Nathans slmplest lnventlons You surely know of that great lnventor Then I asked thre man lf he thought Mr Gllzean would get elected Oh sure he answered Harold Lowden and hls Soclallst Star are back of hlm and that means th' state Just then my attentlon was attracted to a whole army uf wom n swmglng down the street On the blazing banner that stretched from one end to the other I read Vote for Amy Ferrell for Governor of Call f0I'lll3.
