Class 'History In September 1914 a meek and awed group of Freshmen assembled and were enrolled as students of the Shasta Unmon Hlgh School We were an extremely large and fresh class of Freshmen Our class then con1pr1sed over slxty students We were lntroduced to the haughty Upper Classmen at the Fresh men ReCeptlOH where we drank punch a11d acted Wall Flowers to our heart s content After Chr1st111as vacatlon we returned to school to renew acqualnt ances a11d lessons Then came Hlgh Jmx where we were made real members of the S U H S by a few dabs of pamt and ropes After collectlng the DIQCCS fI'OI'll Hlgh JIHX we began to pray for the dose of school and the t1111e when we could call ourselves Sophomores great dehght Upper Classxne11 Sophomores But better st1ll w were allowed to have seats 1n the Study Hall We began the year by makmg 11fe 1111serable for the new supply of Freshles We lso began to take an 111terest 111 Athletlcs We had many representatlves 1n everv for111 of athlet1cs Our Ju111or year ra11 along very smoothly We were easlly the lead ers 111 all athletlcs W1th the close of school that Sllllllllel' we began to reallze to our sorrow that vue only had another short ten months to spend 111 good old S U H S W1th the co1111ng of fall we retur11ed to o11r books a11d warzous dut ef- w1th renevs ed effort hawmg spent pleasant wacatlons Howard Thatcher Twelve 1 y f 1 li l!
