The l98O VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM should be one ot the top contend- ers tor the state channpionshsip. With the return ot Dave Williams our All-District All-City 2nd base- man last year and All-District play- ers Bobby Dorsey l3 year lettere manl. Ronnie Weaver and Corky Swindell, Sharpstown will have one of the best all-around teams in the city. Adding nothing but strength speed and quickness the team will be top caliber players such as Brad Bochat Derek Lowry Kelly Shan- non and Brian Landrum. Addi- tional help will come trom newcom- ers pitchers Glenn Crew, and Barry Nicholson- outfielder Ray Boothe and sophomore sensations Bob Christensen and Robby Byers. 7
