President ditb 7hit3K9T lice Presid nt ielvin iller Sec'y Treas Shirlev Stevman ver want at A Merrill Davis Class Flower Carnation Class Color Wlue and bite Class lotto 'Ever Onward and Upward which began in the fall of 1944, our days are filled with sponsoring this annual, putting out the school paper, having our pictures taken, and selecting caps and gowns Then comes the most exciting day of all, Graduation Exercises Our long climb up the ladder has ended at Room.1 Some of us never thought it would be this soon when we first entered Room 4 as Freshmen Now let's look back to when we entered Room 4 and met our home room teacher, hrs Helen Stoffregen The time of Freshmen init1ation came soon enough for everyone, with the Seniors having a flne t1me course After the misery we suffered, we can truthfully say that our class was entitled to be called WFreshmen W The next step in our cllmb up the long ladder was Room 2 He were Sophomores this year and kept busy with the sponsoring of bake sales hayrides, and the school canteen each Wednesday even1ng We have been told that the Junior year is the hardest and we are quite ready to agree to this We know that is also one of the bus lest, what wlth the selllng penclls, Christmas cards, p1ns, and hats This did not give us the needed amount of money for giving the prom so on the f1rst of March we sponsored a chicken supper to increase the s1ze of our treasury We were quite happy wlth the financial outcome of this venture and our success was largely due to the wonderful help given us by our mothers With these additional funds from the supper, we were able to give the Senlors an evening filled with fun, entertain ment, and pleasant memories at the Jr Sr Prom held at the Hartwell Country Club The year was 'High Li hted,' when we received our class rings wnich are very beautifully d6S1bH d w1th a two tone crest in which is set the iH1tl81 of the scnool To add to t1e beauty of the ring, suitable black tr1mm1ngs have been used So now as we take leave of eharonville High we say good bye to all of the good tlmes, friends, and faculty Xe also will keep 1n mlnd our class motto, nEver Onward and Upwardu and apply it to everythlng we attempt in our lives in the future Shirley Stegman Lois Taylor I ' a av --1 . u With the first three high school years successfully accomplished, ' U .
