Superin tenden t Mr. Robert Smith You, the class of 1986, are leaving high school at a time of high expectations and uncertainties. Today, and long into the future, your success will be partially a result of dealing fairly and cordially with others. You will, however, also be expected to display more competencies on the job and to learn entirely new skills which we can't even envision today. Our small school environment has given you a broad experience both socially and education- ally. We are too small for you to have isolated yourselves from others who are different, therefore, you have learned how to coexist. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities in which a large percentage of you participate because of the opportunity to do so. Many of our high school classes are relatively small, therefore allowing you the oppportunity to get assistance, when needed or desired, for remediation or acceleration. All of the above will provide you with attitudes and the skills you will need in this ever changing world. Remember one thing, you may come from a small school in a small town, but you had to deal with all of the pressures that students from larger schools do and most of you managed your time well enough to participate in more academic, extra-curricular and social activities than do students in larger schools. Take advantage of that experience and never sell yourselves short.
