PRINCIPAL S MESSAGE It has become increasingly evident to our society that its most indispensable re- source is the educational capabilities of its youth. The future progress of our nation will be determined by the manner in which American youth develops this source of wealth, for we are no longer in competition with ourselves alone but with the entire universe. Even our superior performances are being challenged by other men and other nations. While our educational system is one vehicle whereby this intellectual re- source is developed, it becomes crystal clear that you and you alone can produce the maximum effort which is necessary to develop your own potential and thereby contrib- ute to the growth and development of our nation. The extent to which you develop these educational capabilities will establish not only the status of our country but also your status as a citizen. We congratulate our graduates on their initial achievement and sincerely hope that their achievements and accomplishments in the future will be a source of pride and satisfaction to parents, teachers, and friends.
