We, the Class of 1960, dedicate this yearbook to the Sharon Springs Central School Board of Education. These are people who have played an important role in our educa- tion. The members of this group have given much of their time to aid in the education of the youth of the community. Not fully realizing what these people have done for them, stu- dents, who will ultimately benefit from their labors, often take too lightly their most important work.

IN MEMORY In memory of Ellery Chamberlain. Who was a friend to all who knew him. Ellery Chamberlain was born May 17. 1892, in the town of Roseboom, New York. He came to Sharon Springs in 1911. In 1913 he started in the ice business. In 1927 Ellery was married to Charlotte Kettner of Jersey City. In March 1944, Ellery became custodian of our school and became a friend to all, students, faculty, parents. Ellery retired February 1959, because of ill health, and died June 5, 1959.
