The achievements of our modern scientists and skilled technicians would appear to be adequate to keep us abreast of present modern day progress, but this is not enough. To keep our mode of living modern, safe, and progressive we need trained per- sonnel whose imagination and creative ideas are the essential ingredients to the kind of progress which will keep us not only equal to but superior to the progress made by our competitors. It is to you - our graduates - to whom we must look to assist us in taking the giant steps so essential to the develop- ment of the future progress of our nation. We sincerely hope that your initial achievements and successes in the Sharon Springs Central School have adequately prepared you to realize your maximum capabilities as you embark upon this mission.
