OUR THEME As she comes into Sharon: As she leaves sharon: CLARION 1956 ALMA MATER Dear schoolmates ever loyal, true and faithful, Gathering 'neath the maples on the hill, With courage, faith, undaunted for our future, As we older grow, we love thee, still. All Hail to thee our dear old Sharon, Open wide your portals to the right, Still o'er the fields of conflict ever waving, Float for aye the purple and the white. Sharon Springs Central School Sharon, Springs, New York DEDICATION ... to our PARENTS We, the Class of 1956, dedicate this yearbook to our parents who have enabled us to attain our first destination in life. The Sharon Springs Central School is visible evidence that the organized efforts of this district support its belief that the educational welfare of its children represents its most important interest. Their investment in your future is followed with expectancy and hope as the opportunities for constructive service were never more urgently needed than they are today. The responsibilities of providing the leadership for the forward progress of our democracy depends upon the contributions your best efforts can produce. We sincerely hope that your initial preparations will aid you in meeting these challenges successfully. Parents, teachers and friends will welcome opportunities to bask in the re- flected glories of your accomplishments. Only by your continued and conscientious ef- forts to achieve success and distinction can we justify our presence here and give the commonwealth its just return. Congratulations and best wishes for your continued suc- cess. BOARD OF EDUCATION Front row, left to right: Avery De Luca, Principal; Pauline Vrooman, Clerk; Alvin Lane, President.
