I, ROBERT REES, will my quiet ways to Wes Ullman. I, BRANDON REES, leave my mathematical genius to Joe Allen. I, MARJORIE HAVILAND, will my long distant love to someone who has lots of ink and air mail paper. I, CAROL COOK, will my ability to get into all kinds of predicaments to Helen Trafton. I, PHYLLIS COLLINS, leave my musical ability; full, worn out notebook; old pens and pencils to anyone who would like to pick up where I left off. I, EDWARD EMPIE, will all my late slips and excuses to Charles Planck. I, RUSSELL WILDAY, will my hot, light blue Ford to anyone who wishes to come after the keys. I, BEVERLY N1RSCHL, will my plastics and my headaches and troubles I've had with them to Mary Jane Nikolaus. I, JOHN JUDD, will my ability in sports and my gym shoes to Charles McMann I, PHILLIPS VAN SCHAICK, will to Giles Bullock at least 8 inches of my 6 feet so that he will be able to play better basketball. I, JOSEPH COUSINEAU, will my statistics on sports events to Carol Lane. I, WAYNE JANICKI, leave my Tom Corbett space helmet to Gwen Pomella; one never knows, she may need it when she takes off to Mars on her honey- moon. I, VIVIAN GARLOCK, leave my long, brown hair and quiet, charming ways to Barbara Whitbeck. I, PATRICIA PARSONS, will to anyone who finds them, my wits and my brains which were lost somewhere in the lab during Chemistry. I, COREEN VAN ARSDAL, will my typewriter, stencils and inky fingers to the head typist of next year's monthly Clarion. I, BARBARA JANICKI, will my solemn, studious manner to Katy Hayes. I, LAUREN LANE, leave my dashing, winning ways with the girls to Bill Part- low; we're sure he can use them in his Senior year. I, JULIA PUTNAM, leave my role of Pudge in the Senior Play to Beverly S Schrader. I, JOYCE PECKHAM, drop to the unfortunate class treasurer of next year's Senior Class, my Coca Cola pencils, my lavender money box, the nec- essary books, and plenty of time in which to keep them straightened out. I, ARLENE USYK, will my book on bashfulness to Edith Lambert. We, MISS SKINNER and MR. MILLER, leave our responsibility of advising the Seniors to Mr. Erwin and his co-advisor. 15 As we look into the future this is what we see predicted by a fortune teller for the Class of 1955. First we see four teachers. Phyllis Collins is teaching second grade in the new school on Chestnut Street. John Judd has taken over the teaching in SSCS for Miss Baldino! Patricia Parsons is teaching Home Ec in a big city school, and Coreen Van Arsdal is showing the typists at General Electric how to type without making mistakes. Now for the nurses. Barbara Janicki is now the mother of 75 children—in Ellis Hospital. Beverly Nirschl is taking care of the patients in Cooperstown Hospital, while Arlene Usyk is raising a lot of little doctors for the head sur- geon of St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, in Utica. As we look at the working girls, here is what we see. Carol Cook is a bathing beauty on Miami Beach! Vivian Garlock, C. P. A., is collecting taxes, and Marjorie Haviland is seated behind a desk making signs for the Neon Sign Company. Joyce Peckham is now a private secretary in the Met- ropolitan Life Insurance Co. Guess what Julia Putnam is doing!! She's driving bus 19 for Floyd Mereness at SSCS. For the sports fans here is some news. Joseph Cousineau is now coach at Notre Dame. Lauren Harp Lane has coached the Detroit Lions to their 176th consecutive win. Here are the future big businessmen. Edware Empie is now successfully running Glensfoot Farm. Wayne Janicki has just invented a new air ship that will take us to the moon. Brandon Rees is captain of his own yacht after serving his 20 years in the U. S. Navy, and Robert Reed is a mechanic for the U. S. Air Force. He's working on those b-i-i-i-g planes. Phillips Van Schaick is running the Pennsylvania coal mines and also owns several oil wells. Russell Wilday is his own machinist in his little shop on the Slate Hill Road. As we look for our advisors, we find Miss Skinner and her husband on their way back from a world cruise. Mr. Miller has accepted a job at the City Center in New York City. He is now working on the leading role in Macbeth. This is the Class of 1955 as seen when gazing through a crystal ball into the future! 16 First row-. E. Schrader, M. Nikolaus, E. Lambert, L. Kilts, J. Farro, S. Wilday, C. Hayes, B. Whitbeck, H.
