When the eventful night arrived, Jack Winkler, basketball captain, crowned the beautiful queen and also a kiss. The queen wore a lovely powder blue, of! the shoulder formal for the occasion. L-H ACHIEVEHQITS Last summer our livestock judgingieam won the following: State Angus Field Day -Sth team-2nd ind.3 Stateihorthorn Field Dav-2nd team-Sth ind.3 Hudsons Field Day -lst, 3rd, nth individuals. Members of our club held an ice cream social last August and turned in nearly 330. to the State L-H Polio Drive. At the local, county, and state fairs members of our club won QM placings and H3 were firsts! Our collective exhibit was End at the County Fair. In Octoter three members the Americanlbyal in Kansas 8th, l8th, and 32nd. took stock to City winning In November for the second successive year a member of our club was selectedzs the outstanding M-H boy in Woodward Co. Later he attended the National M-H Con- gress in Chicaqo as a state winner. At the County M-H meeting in January thecounty president and song leadcn both from our club were re-elected and also two members elected to the advisory cem- mittee were from our clubs. For the sec- ond year straight the county livestock achievement medal and i100 savings bond went to a member of our club. A number of dress revue medals and a,32OO scholar- ship also went to Mutual H-Hers. Our club was given a certificate for out- staiding work.in rural arts and recrea- tion. At the'Rxdward District Ft Stock Show members of our clubs entered l2 steers 6 barrows and l lamb. Ne w 'fa' n 2 Firsts and a large number of other hifh awards. Te won lst in the calf record contest,too. At the Cklahona City Livestock Showve entered 8 steers winninq Sth, Oth, lOth and several others. Our judging temnwkm Sth and one of our members won second in the state calf record contest. During the Wkla. City Stock Show a member of our club was chosen as the H-L boy to represent the State H-H Clubs as guest speaker at the Rotary Club Lunch- eon there. In April for the third year in a row our senior club won first at the county rally. The junior club nlaccd fifth,toQ Members of our clubs win eight Firsts as well as a score of other high awards. Five members won trins to the State H-H Club Round-up at Stillwater. In Hay the 1-H activities of this school year were climaxed with our sec- ond annual M-H achievement program. It consisted of a one-act play, tineli ton- ies, team demonstrations, a dress revue a M-H pageant, and refreshments served to who attended bv the H-H girls. Can there be a more fitting ending than.
