During the year six of your boys left for service and many others will enter soon. Your last two years have been disturbed by war with its constant inter- ference with your normal routines of life. We hope and pray that your educational founda- tions are secure and that' you will readily fit into your proper niche-fighting front, industrial front, or home front. The coming year promises to bring to our nation many heartaches and grave responsi- bilities-but also a glorious and just Peace. . . . a heavier load, . . . a higher toll, . . . a harder road, . . . a grealer goal, All this' and more, The Promise of 'Forty Four.
