Griliitlls On Qctoher 9, 1942, the Sophomore Class arranged a Stamp Dance in order to promote the sale ol war stamps. The admission to the dance was 15 cents, I0 cents of which was. used to purchase a war stamp for the paying' student. This venture was one of the most pa- triotic dances ever held in our school. The USoph Hopi' was the liirst formal dance held hy the class. This event occurred in the school gym on November 20, 1942, and was a huge success. The sophomores won second prize in the HAmateur Showf, which was held in the school' auditorium. in order to celebrate the holiday' season, a Christmas party was held and gifts. A group of hoys received lirst prize with The Adventures of Prime Facef, Orders were talcen lor S.H.H.S. '46 pins. which the members of the Freshman Class are proudly wearing. J

We held a joint meeting of both homerooms, elected ollicers and decided to get down to worlc and lceep up the good standard of our class. As the Christmas holidays approached. everyone was going around with the spirit ol Christmas in his blood. Our rooms were deco- rated and a party was given lor our pleasure.
