Class Prophecy I Mr Brzeczkowskr when vrsrtrng New York had an unusual experrence I met of all people Andrew John son who was gomg to be on the S64 000 questron On seeing Andrew memorres of the class of 1957 plagued me However currousrty getting the best of me I asked Andy what had happened to those sprrrted students After abrref drscussron rn which Andrew told me hrs category was Safe Drrvrng Technrques because he was traffrc Commrssroner of New York State and had Just recerved a medal for bemg the frrst man to beat Lrberace rn a drag race m reverse he told me that he kept pretty well rn touch wrth the rest of the class He revealed that Ken Cemy had been elected to congress rn 1960 but after talking for 30 days and nights m a frlrbuster attempted to hold a bill down that was bemg passed to outlaw the dictionary had to retire from tired vo cal cords Drck Lubrs was a very successful doctor I learned rn fact he was so good Andy sard that he gave week ly demonstrations of hrs operations on televrsron each week on Medic blindfolded Margaret Pester had Just won the Miss Unrverse trtle for the thrrd trme rn a row and was consrderrng several movre contracts from every movre makrng company tn the world Just then a call came from the TV studio that Andrew was supposed to go there for rehearsals He told me that rf I came back rn an hour we would resume our drscussron Walking down Marn Street I ptcked up a paper and was startled to read Naber breaks all scorrng records rn bold headlines Wonderrng rf that was the same Norbert fuzz Naber that was such a whrz at sports rn school I looked further down the column and to my deltght saw that Naber was at the Statler Hotel m New York Grabbrng a cab I wluzzed over there Just to catch lum and hrs Manager gomg rnto therr room Naturally rt was the same old Fuzz and he was extremely glad to see me So glad was he to see me that he threw a chart at me rn hrs ex crtement After seerng Fuzz I could well understand why he was breaking all records He had grown to a height of '7 feet '7 mches and had to kneel down to get mstructrons from lus 5 feet 2 rnches Manager Norbert sard that he had heard from trme to trme that Gerry Mundchau was the frrst Barber to give a crewcut rn one quick stroke Gerry rt seems had rnvented a scoop hke apparatus that fitted the cranrum and could be adJusted to frt anyone s head It took one pass to cut one s harr all off or half off It also told me that Don Oftedahl had Just run the three minute different breed of two headed chrckens Hrs chrckens were proclarmed across the land for therr squawkrng whrch could be heard rn the furthermost comets of Asra Paul Davis had become an Afrrcan explorer but rt seems that on one of hrs Safarr s he got lost and was never seen again It has been reported however that he was seen from trme to trme swrngmg through the trees wrth the monkeys Vtrgmra Harvey had Just taken over Betty Crocker s Job at General Mrlls Fuzz sard She won the honor wrth her excellent recrpes for toasted grasshopper and frred rattlesnake meat It all of the other developments surprrsed me none was so surprising as to End that Joan Ruehlarnn Dolores Hayes and Judy Seaton were wrth the Bamum and Barley Circus wrth an Acrobatrc act It seems they performed ten feet above the groturd wrthout a net lt must take nerve Isard to myself After leamrng that Irene Glade was suspended from Nursrng dutres at Mumcrpal Hospital when she lost control when she saw the surgeon had started operating because she sard everythrng looked so good Fuzz told me of Drck Lind s success as a Hrstorran Drck was breng heralded for hrs recent historical drscovery on the fact that rt wasn I tea that was thrown rn the water at the Boston Tea Party but Kool Aid Connre Hennrg really had rt made I grress She was running a home for reJected lovers She made qurte a pro profit on rt too because persons Jrlted rn love will pay anything to forget and Conrue was takrng advantage of rt Brll Webb unfortunately hasn t been too successful After lus neck breakrng fhght from New York to Los An geles at a speed of 180 000 M P H rn hrs Prper Cub rt seems as he was landrng the wrngs folded and the auto matrc parachute release farled and he hrt the grotmd wrth a bang On last reports he was recovermg raprdly From all rndrcatron he wants to try and break hrs former neck or record Hazel Smrth lrved up to her name at last She rs running a Blacksmrth Shop in the nuddle of New York Just for old trmes sake To help her she employed Donna Seaver to help lrft the heavy werght Last I heard they were do ing a boomrng busrness Fuzz concluded After hearing these accounts of the 1957 Seniors I realrzed that none of them had ever gotten marrred But I drsrnrssed this off as they probably still don t see eye to eye wrth the opposite gender All in all rt was a breathtak mg experrence and after fuuslung my busrness fwhrch was gettmg a new toupee Q I started back home wrth the satisfaction that Ihad helped create all thrs rn the Senror Class of 1957 12 mile and was trying for the two.
