Class Hlstory September 1953 and the halls are runnrng w1ld w1th green freshmen us Ours was the largest class rn the hrgh school at the trme There were twelve boys and twelve grrls and we were happy to have Mr Rogan as our class advlsor At our frrst class meetrng we elected B111 Hahn presrdent Dolores Hayes v1ce presrdent and Connre Henmg secretary and treasurer We were 1n1t1ated by the semors on September 23 and alot of fun was had be all We weren t qurte as eager m the fall of 54 as we started our sophomore year There were twenty seven of us for Mr Hyke our new advrsor to put up wtth B111 Hahn moved to Capron and we garned Irene Glade Judy Seaton Ken Cemy and B111 Webb Our class offrcers were Drck Lubts Presrdent Vrrguna Harvey Vrce Presrdent Donna Seaver secretary and B111 Webb treasurer We worked hard tlns year sellrng at basketball games presentrng a pantomrme show and havrng candy and bake sales We made more money at the PTA camrval than any other class and we won f1rst prrze on our homecomrng float entrtled We Take Thee Clmton We came rnto our Jolly Jumor year under the superv1s1on of Mr Brzeczkowskr We were mrnus several puprls by the end of the year they were Carl Johnson Amold Smrth Jrm Belt consln and Paul Davrs from Mrssourr We elected Nobert Fuzz Naber for our presrdent Nhke Hanna v1ce presldent Annette Abernathy secretary and V1rg1n1a Harvey treasurer We won frrst place on our homecomlng float whrch had the motto Our InSTINK Scents We ll W1n W worked hard holdlng candy and bake sales and sellmg at football games We also had a dance on January 28 whrch we called the Snowball Our prom whrch was held on Aprrl 27 was a brg suceess Its theme was Kmg Neprunes Court and Al Raymond s Orchestra prov1ded the musrc We ftnally came to the year we have all been wartrng for our senror year W1Ih Mrs Lo1s O Brren as our class advrsor Harvey Donaldson and Donna Gloede were lost to Janesvrlle and we also lost Ruth Htnes and Annette Abemathy However we gamed D1ck L1nd from Burlrngton Iowa and Jerry Mundschau a former classmate from Mrlwaukee At our f1rst class meetrng we elected Don Oftedahl Presrdent Paul Davrs v1ce presrdent Donna Seaver secretary and Vrrguua Harvey treasurer We sold bracelets and key charns and we also sold at the basketball games We had a lot of fun especrally when we got off from school legally for two days to sell ads for our yearbook We sponsored the Snowball once agarn also As we confront our prob lems rn later lrfe we wrll look back fondly at the four years we spent rn dear old Sharon Hrgh School 10 I Delores Sprowl, JoEtta Weiher, and Judy Cooper.
