Losing only to Massilon, a non-league opponent, our Sharon Tigers were undefeated during league play and proved they could handle a must win situation by easily overtaking the Grove City Eagles for the battle of the Keystone Title. Advancing into playoff action, our Tigers battled the Meadville Bulldogs for the Northwest Conference. This, the first year of the Keystone League, proved successful not only for our Tigers, but for the entire Mercer County in that it boosted enthusiasm, school spirit, and game attendance.
