Rhodesia Exchange Students 63 “Bonfire Gang Eats Turkey” Every year before the Sharon Tigers meet their arch rival Farrell, a bonfire is prepared to raise school spirit. The evening was a roaring success with everyone’s outlook in a good position. Faculty, cheerleaders, coaches, and individual team members gave pep talks on school support and created enthusiasm throughout the crowd. The Farrell Pep Rally did a fine job to create enthusiasm before the big game. Male cheerleaders stole the show and displayed a fine comical act to change the fans into appreciated moods. Assemblies held this year included reptiles, school sports, and Hello Dolley. Homecoming Success After Win The annual Hi-Y Homecoming was held on a clear October night after a victorious win over Ellwood City. Couples entered into a fall barnyard. Chocataw provided music for the evening and Rembrants provided pictures. Punch and cookies were served. This year's Homecoming was one of the most successful and biggest dances ever at SHS. Sweetheart Ball Big Success The Sweetheart Ball, sponsored by the Student Council, was one of the biggest dances ever held at Sharon High. Despite the snow blizzard outside. 200 couples danced to the music of T-Record. Punch was served and Rembrandts was on hand for pictures. ‘75’ Prom Theme “OCEANUS” Slides Height Of Ceremony 75 Seniors Scramble . . . Eggs 75 Class Has Two Salutatorians Hello Dolly Smashing Hit 78 Hello Dolly This year’s all class play was Hello Dolly. Run over two weekends in March the play was a smashing success. All worked hard and deserved every bit of credit they received. 80 Hello Dolly 8fi The 1974 Sharon High Bengals finished their season with a posted record of 4-4-1. The Tiger team once again won their annual Sharon-Farrell contest. In addition to the crowd’s cheers of enthusiasm and added attraction of fireworks were provided by the Boosters at all home games. This year Varsity Cheerleaders were divided into two squads; football and basketball cheerleaders. These girls attend the football and basketball games to escort spectators to their seals, if they desire. These ushers continue to help organize the sports activities at Sharon High.
