Ittbmfcttal Expression Encourapeb bp Department Every student needs to express himself in one way or another; therefore, the Art Department seems to be a logical outlet. Here, students develop their talents, improve their skills, and express themselves through unique art work. Nevertheless, this can only be possible through diligent practice in pencil sketching, designs, and painting. Inspired young artists put these skills in oils, watercolor, macrame, or batik. This year was marked by a worthwhile event. Art IV students met at Mrs. Mangus’ barn and concentrated three days on intensive water-color study which was followed by a critique. Art not only lets the student express himself, but also sets down fundamentals for future artists. RIGHT: Aspiring artist Jeff Spaulding receives aid from Mrs. Mangus. BELOW: Skillfully.
