Traditional Christmas Dance Revived Student request prompted Student Council and Key Club to revive an almost forgotten Sharon Tradition—the Christmas Dance The affair was held at the Shenango Inn on the evening of December 22 and due to great interest, the 100 couples attending made the dance a sellout Music for the occasion was provided by the popular Brainchild', who played everything from rock to boogie and even an old-fashioned hoe-down square dance tune The highlight of the evening was a visit by Santa Claus Forsythe who handed out candy canes to all the good little boys and girls. The good time had by all. it seems that this dance has renewed an old tradition Right Christmas couples en|oy themselves Below Santa Claus distributes candy canes during the latter part of the dance Opposite Page. The Land Of Oz Scene Of 1971 Prom Prom 71 was set in the dazzling emerald city of Oz Senior class president Peter Acker and his date. Sandi Colt, initiated the festivities by leading prom couples down the yellow brick road A reahsitc aerial balloon, the witch's castle, and a multicolored rainbow adorned the gym and lent an aura of enchantment The Dave Killa Orchestra provided the music for the early evening The after prom began traditionally with the removal of garters, shoes, suspenders and suitcoats The fabulous Haydns performed for the remainder of the evening 24 PROM
