Koss, The mighty Sharon Tigers proved that they're still one of the toughest teams in the WPIAL by completing the season 7-3. The Battling Bengals suffered two defeats at the hands of the major contenders of the WPIAL championship -Butler and undefeated New Castle but eliminated Ellwood City from the running with a sparkling victory of 27-0. In five of the seven victories, Sharon showed their determination and intestinal fortitude -for it takes a great team to come back when your opponents have you down at the half. The annual Farrell struggle proved to be a defensive victory when the Night Riders were held to a minus four yards gained in the second half. The Bengal offensive unit scored a high ranking 147 points while the determined defense held our opponents to a mere total of 89. Although the team gets most of the praise, the credit belongs to Mr. Smith and the rest of his fine coaching staff-for without them- Sharon Tigers couldn't M. Kiefer Row 5: J. Evans, J. Weldon, N.
