Beach Much of the success of the American school system can be attributed to the good management of School Boards. The members of the Sharon Board of Education are elected by the townspeople to serve for terms of either two or six years, and may come up for re-election as many times as they desire. Our Board is comprised of seven members who hold their meetings monthly in the office of the Superintendent of Schools. At their meetings they arrange for the collection of tax money to finance the budget, plan for future improvement of the school system, budget all funds, and employ the school personnel. During the past year the local Board has spent many additional hours, in and out of meetings, executing plans for the three hundred and fifty thousand dollar educational improvement and expansion program now in the process of completion. 6
