THE BOY’S BASKETBALL TEAM The boy’s basketball teams this year had a very successful season. Both teams turned in high records of achievement. The first team played a schedule of twenty games, including three at the Framingham Armory for the News Trophy, Wiich they brought home to keep. The first team won sixteen games, lost three, and tied one. The tie game was played at Sharon .with Foxboro. At the end of the second overtime period both coaches took their tired boys off the floor and arranged a play-off game at a later date. At the end of the season Sharon and North Easton were tied for first place in the Hock-a-mock League. In the play-off game played in Foxboro, Sharon bowed to the powerful North Easton team after a hard fought game. The Sharon team plowed through the Framingham Tournament with flying colors, taking three straight games and also the Framingham News Trophy. A Victory Banquet was given in honor of the boys, at which beautiful jackets were awarded to the members of the team. The members of the first team were: Captain R. Bendinelli; W. Hixson; J. Eldracher; R. Chase; J. Baiker; R. Hall; R. Morgan; J. Colaneri.
