In spite of this bad start the team shows promise of becoming a worthy reprc ' sentative of Sharon High School, and have started to play ball that is a credit to them. Even though they have been handicapped by inclement weather and many injuries the hoys are now well advanced in their schedule, which is as follows: At Sharon Sharon 8 Mansfield 27 Foxboro “ 2 Foxboro 6 Sharon o 0 North Easton 8 Sharon 1 Foxboro 7 Norton 13 Norton 2 Randolph 3 Randolph 5 Schedule incomplete when Year Book was printed. Semior Class Tear Boo J935 ' 13 GIRLS’ BASKET ' BALL TEAM Sharon High School is proud to acknowledge the fact that the girls’ basket-ball team of 1935 lost but one game out of twelve this year. The girls had one of the smoothest running teams that the school has had in recent years. Their fine sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and courage were also creditable throughout the season. Although they played in no tournament, the girls’ team was also of championship calibre. Their schedule is as follows; Sharon Sharon 23 Wrentham 3 Sharon 16 Alumni 5 Sharon 28 Holbrook 8 Wrentham 32 Wrentham 19 Holbrook 16 Holbrook 24 Sharon 30 Randolph 7 North Easton 29 Oliver Ames 8 Sharon 23 Bridgewater 6 Stoughton 20 Stoughton 19 Sharon 25 Oliver Ames 15 Randolph 21 Randolph 17 Sharon 17 Stoughton 17 14 Senior Class Tear Boo 193 ? GOLF TEAM The Sharon High School Golf Team of 1935, although severely handicapped because of the lack of material, have enjoyed thus far a very successful season. This year Sharon has been accepted as a member of the Norfolk Gounty High School Golf League. To date the team has maintained a position very close to leading the league. Golf in Sharon High School is a major sport and is growing more and more prominent each year. This year ' s team is expected to make a fine record. The schedule of matches played is as follows: At Canton Sharon 5 Canton 4 Sharon 4 Walpole 5 Walpole 4 J 2 Norwood 4 2 Sharon 5 Needham 4 Schedule incomplete at time Year Book was printed. Senior Class Year Boo 1935 15 BOYS’ BASKET ' BALL TEAM The basket ' ball team of 1935 is a champion in the true sense of the word. After enjoying a highly successful season of 11 wins and 7 losses, these boys carried on to win the Framingham J ews Basket-ball Tourney. This is truly a remarkable record for any team after having the misfortune of losing their most aggressive player in mid-season. The passing of Edward George was a sad blow not only to the basket-ball team, but to all the other athletic teams, and to his fellow schoolmates. The Schedule is as follows: At Sharon — Sharon 44 Wrentham 9 Games away: At V.Clpole Sharon 22 Norfolk Aggies 8 18 Alumni 14 Easton 24 Oliver Ames 26 32 Sumner 6 Stoughton 22 Stoughton 52 36 Stetson 11 Canton 47 Canton 23 29 Foxboro 31 Randolph 21 Stetson 25 20 Oliver Ames 31 Foxboro “• 28 Foxboro 41 28 Norfolk Aggies 15 Holbrook 39 Sumner 23 38 Canton 21 V rentham 58 Wrentham 18 47 ’34 Club 22 T0URN.yMENT SCORES 1st Round Sharon 37 Shrewsbury 27 Semi-Finals Sharon 36 Millis 28 Finals Sharon 42 Hopkinton 15 16 Senior Class Tear Boo 1935 COMPLETE EQUIPMENT for Every Sport - BASEBALL FOOTBALL BASKET BALL HOCKEY SOCCER TENNIS GOLF BADMINTON SQUASH SWIMMING TRACK Outfitters to Sharon High School.
