W 1' 3 1WHITE 4 2 ll, RK SITTING: Mr.-Yackle, Sharon Burma, Tom Stoner, LaDonna Johnson, Phyllis Moll, Marilyn Schmidecamp, Verla Schultz. STANDING: Larry DeWa1l, Gene Heeren, Linda Mack, Ronald Duitsman, Ralph Bass. The Student Council of 1958-59 was a busy organization. Their ideas and methods were for the good of the whole student body. Their greatest project of the year was their organization of the Teen Time Dance. It was held for teenagers arranging from 8th grade up, and usually helped the students occupy their time every other Saturday night. The Shannon Student Council was also represented at the Chicago Student Council convention. Later on in the year when the students became restless because of the nice spring weather, the Student Council purchased three movies to brighten the school days. The opportunit of serving the school was a rewarding one for ll ofthe members and it gave them a real appreciation of government and all of its problems. The officers were as follows: Ralph Bass-- Pres., Marilyn Schmidecamp--Vice Pres., Verla Schultz--Sec.-Treas.
