cakes? an ' Caroline, played by Lenore Van Matre, was a sincere, friendly girl, who just moved to town. All the boys became interested in this pretty, bright addition to their science classes, especially Joe, the leader of the gang, played by Larry Lindstrom. His friend and chief tormentor is Milt, who is Don Manning, a good-looking Wise- guy type. Other boys in the cast were: Johnny, an intellect, played by Larry DeWa1l, Willy, a small boy with a squeaky voice who was Don Christiansg and Stanley and Howie, who were the clowns of the group, played by Bob Gray and Ralph Bass. When the boys were suddenly so excited about Caroline, their former interests, the girls of the gang displayed their jealousy in various ways. Bunny, played by Lois Stone, was side-tracked from a diet, helped by Pat, an at- tractive, level-headed girl, portrayed by Darlene Mayer. Shirley, played by Verla Schultz was a pretty but head- strong type, who was apt to believe all things should go as she wanted them to go. l-ler friend, Jeanette, played by Gayle Nelson, displays an affected, bored manner with false sophistication. Beatrice Swalve played the part of Sally, a bustling enthusiastic type, who was more than interested in little Willy. To add to the teenage humor was Caroline's little sister, Susie, played by Marilyn Schmidecamp. With a power called blackmail, Susie put the play in a very comical light. Also in the cast were Carol Truckenmiller, who played the part of Ma Rand, the dry-witted owner of the drugstore where the entire play took placeg and Carol Cheeseman as Miss Jameson, the stern dignified science teacher who added humor in a brisk efficient manner.
