Student Councll The Student Council th1s year consists of seven members elected by the student body and four appointed by the class advisers Mr Petty IS the council adviser Volleyball tournaments were orgamzed by the group and were held ln the gym durmg lunch hours when the weather d1d not permlt outdoor act1v1ty At to renew the much depleted record supply The councll also sponsored dancing classes so that students might better enjoy school activities The Student Council officers are President Arthur Jacobs Vice Presldent Dale Budde Secretary-Carol Woessner Treasurer Ardlth Stoner Advlser Mr Petty 39 0 Christmas time members of the council sold Christmas cards and used the money

Speclal Events The first b1g event of the school year was one to which the senlors looked forward and the freshmen drd not It was of course Freshman Inrtratlon whlch tr ok place ln the hxgh school on September 21st 1951 The freshmen spent that sad day ln odd costumes and even more odd posltxons as they strove to glve the proper obelsance to each and every mrghty senlor who approached The day ended ln a gay manner at a party held ln the ag room The eventful day at least had a happy endmg The Semor Class sponsored a Halloween Party on October 31st 1951 rn lessmans garage Everyone was dressed 1n old clothes and as a result the relay games and duckmg for apples were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone Of course the party was hlgh llghted by the refreshments that the semors served Another lovely party was the one grven by the freshmen at Chrlstmas trme Because of the inclement weather lt had to be postponed from December 17 1951 to January 4th 1952 The party was held m the gymnaslum where the students danced and played games Later ln the evemng g1ftS were exchanged by everyone A really delrghtful lunch concluded the party The Valentlne Party was held on February 16 1952 1n the gym It was glven by the Sophomore Class Everyone enjoyed the games dancmg and re frfshments and the general concluslon was that the party was a grand success The all school prcnlc IS one event whxch has not yet taken place but all of the students are lookmg forward to lt It seems strange but the end of the school year apparently has a psychologlcal effect on all people attendlng schools Thrs of course mcludes the faculty On thls occasron everyone IS Ieel llke runnmg for 'x block or two vou re free to do so It s one time of the ya ar when prckles and lee cream make the perfect combmatron for your delrcate dlg9StlV8 systems Three cheers for the good old summertrme' Valentine Party Phnstmas Party 41 News I V' . . . .
