Starting with a freshman class mixer, the series of parties, hayrides and other class social gatherings has continued. We've worked hard together on class projects such as selling candy, Christmas cards, chances on a Christmas crib, Shanley note cards, and holding dances. Proceeds from these went to putting on what we wanted to be the best prom ever, Our junior group made a float for Homecoming this year and at games cheered wholeheartedly for classmates on the team. As sophomores, we won a trophy at a basketball game for cheering the best. ln spiritual and scholastic enterprises, most im- portant of all, we hope we have advanced some toe wards our goal. This was the first year since 1954 that floats came to the scene at a Shanley Homecoming, And who won first prize? The class of '61! Flying high on the float were red and white banners and riding alongside was the Shanley player destroying the decay -germ fAggieQ with 'DEACON DENTQ' Our ability to get the float completed on time and in the usual first class styletypical of our projects, was one way of showing our maturity We know it is by the application of our talents that we can benefit most from the Christian education we are being offered here at Shanley. 46 , 10 4 it - V uw Qs? 95 A A A L -sv ' Thomas Albert Anita Anderson ly I I lil rf? if Inf -, If 3 L Colleen Arzdorf Sheila BCHLICIHH' Kay Bentley Joseph Berg Gary Bietz RBSYM ,, . i 1 2 Nancy Anderson Carol Anstett M1chelle Arrell Edward Bxren Wllllam Blake Kathleen Bontjes Sharon Brusvcn Carol Burgess 47 lf '1 sf? -'ik as Joseph Busek Mary Bush Patrlcla Campbell Donald Carlson Dolores Charbonneau as '-fi 'Q l Kathleen Clower Terrx Ann Coffman Thomas Conoboy Donald Corcoran Gary Cossette , H fi 4 - in 'Wk James DeForest Patrick Donahue X R , , , , ,Ae iw Paul Erickson Audrey Fischer 4 1 ,QQ L 4-' I X Thomas Gerlach Laurie Dickerson K Darrell DuBord L Mary Erpelding Mary Flannery ak 1. , I Dennis Gress Karen Didier ra y . 33? .
